Charity Events for Joanne Bingley Memorial Foundation

9th July - Rock the Rectory, Mirfield
Bed and breakfast owner Angela Lorimer is hosting ‘Rock the Rectory’ at her house on Pinfold Lane in Mirfield, on the 9th July 2011.  The money raised will be split between the the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (http://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/) in Nairobi, Kenya and Martin House Hospice care for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses: (http://www.martinhouse.org.uk/).  A donation will also be made to the Joanne (Joe) Bingley Memorial Foundation.

The music will be provided by Tusk, who played at this event last year and are also known as Hope and Social.  They provided the music at the Foundation’s Gangester and Moll fundraising event in January: http://www.hopeandsocial.com/


The event starts at 6pm with the band kicking off at 7pm, you can bring your own food and drinks, gazebo's, umbrella's and seating.  Get your tickets from Celia Johnson, tel 01924 495986 or e-mail her at Celia.Johnson@hotmail.com.  Tickets cost £15 for Adults and £7.50 for children.  I've attached a pdf of the poster for this event for anyone who is able to do a bit of publicity for us - Thanks!!

14th July - That's Entertainment, Scholes Cricket Club

Fancy an evening out in Holmfirth?  Or even Scholes Cricket Club to be precise?  Then join us for, ‘That’s Entertainment’ a talk by G. Wizz on the 14th July – starting at 7.30pm until 9.30pm.  Tickets cost £2.50 contact Mary Newsome (07526459181) for more details.

GWizz is the professional name for Graham Barraclough, who has worked in the entertainment business since 1975 as a publicist, administrator, professional actor and set designer. In 1990, he became a full-time children’s entertainer, using the name G. Wizz, and presenting a wild and wacky show that was fast, furious and physical.
