The choices we make.

Thank you so much for all the comments about my blog (see previous post). The vast majority are supportive and tell me how much I am helping others by wearing my heart on my sleeve. For those who aren't impressed, life is all about choices!!

Last night I adopted new routines for getting to sleep easier. I had a brilliant bubble bath, with candles, Ronan Keating blasting through the house and a real feeling of 'actually being home alone can be fun'!

This has been one of my favourites ever since Dom was little and sang it in the back of the car ..

I snuggled into bed after writing down things I had been grateful of that day and added happy memories of Clive that had crossed my mind. Warm, cosy, content I turned the light off, having banned my Blackberry to the office.

An hour or so later I was in the street putting out the recycling bins and even more cross at myself for being unable to switch off!!! Aargh!

So today I have sorted some more tablets for use to help me sleep. Trouble is they say to avoid alcohol and as the next few nights will be fun they might just have to wait ...

Sometimes life/problems are easier to face if you know you have a choice, ey?

My first phone call was from a very dear friend asking me when I am free next week as she wanted to book and treat me to having my nails done or a massage. What a wonderful touch and so much appreciated. xxx

I have had a very productive day in the office and finally got to answer some long outstanding emails - a tiny dip but a 'small step' as Clive would say.

I also had a trip out to get some new trousers as I almost fell downstairs by tripping up in some as they keep falling down! My Mum says there is no way I should expect sympathy for trousers being too big!

Tonight has passed by helping a young friend fill in an application form. It was a joy to focus on someone else and as I get stronger intend to do more of again, and less self-indulgence!

Today has been a good day and I am really looking forward to the rest of the week. I might actually be too busy with work and pleasure not to write!

But let's see!
